Effect of Karabağ in Germany

There is an interesting case for Ahmet Apak who likes to follow the automotive news but Ahmet did not know Karabag Transportation Company in Germany. Sırrı Karabag who is the owner of Company is the well-known Businessman in Germany. Thanks to Sırrı Karabağ, Fiat Company sells lots of vehicles to Germany and German Goverment departments such as Fiat 500, Doblo, Ducato, Fiorino.

Hamburg Harbour shows the Karabag Transportation at the top of the Bilboards as a best seller of electric vehicles in Germany.Daimler and Renault are coming after the Karabag Transportation.
Karabag has sold 600 electric vehicle in Germany untill now.One of the 5 electric vehicle which are on the road in Germany was produced in the plant of Karabag Company.Karabag Transportation is the first Company who sells the electric vehicle cheaper then the gasoline or diesel vehicle as the same model.
Sırrı Karabag’s family is not only German but also Turkish. His mother is German when his father is Turkish. He poromoted his business company in 1993. In 2007, Fiat agreed with Karabag in Frankurt Automotive Fair to sell Fiat vehicles in Germany together.
Electric vehicles become widespread with Sırrı Karadag more than before.

The First Boron Vehicle in Turkey

Yerli-Otomobil

The first Boron Vehicle in Turkey is produced by Tubitak Energy Enstitute.Minister of State for Industries used the vehicle for test drive in October,2011. In the project, the fuel storage, reactor of hydrogen produce, gas cleaner, synthesis of catalyst for production were searched and developed. From the begining of working at 3 minutes, vehicle can produce the gas fully and this produced gas enables 3 kilowatt fuel cell to work continuously. 3 kilowatt fuel cell was also produced for this vehicle project. The vehicle has 20 HP electric motor. In addition, the maximum speed of the vehicle 80 km/hour and the maximum distance that the vehicle can go is 100 kilometers.Vehicle can go 35 kilometers with 1 kilograms Boron Hydride.

yerli_otomobil_icin_ozel_tasarimlar_h328254

Prime Minister and Minister of State for Industries are explaining that the domestic product automotive in Turkey will be produced at the near future. According to strong sources, the domestic product automotive will be produced by one of the biggest automotive producer (XXX) and it will be located at Bursa. They also continue the research and development of electric vehicle and to start the electric vehicle serial production between 1 or 2 year later. Conclusively, domestic automotive and electric vehicle producer will be the same company.

Japan EarthQuake hits the Automotive Industry

Japan Earthquake & Tsunami affects the automotive industry due to reactor and radiation problem. Companies of Vehicle Supplier such as NTK, Hitachi have the problems about that. Toyota and Honda are also directly affected by them so they decrease the plant of production. Nissan says they did not effect directly but they has suspended production at four plants.
Japan Professors who come to Turkey for the international conference of Mechatronics on April 13-15, 2011 explain their country has injured about the situation & they need time to develop themselves again.

IEEE ICM 2011 in Turkey

The international conference of Mechatronics have organized in Turkey on April 13-15, 2011. Ahmet APAK has also an article which is Design and Construction of Electric Minibus. Ahmet presented it on April 14, 2011.
Mechatronics is defined as the synergistic integration of mechanics, electronics and information processing into a production process. This evolutionary development in industrial design and manufacturing also brings new goals and challenges that need to be addressed for the effective use of the technology in many new products and systems in the future. Following the success of previous ICMs,the biennial IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics, ICM 2011(13-15 APRIL) aims to provide a multidisciplinary forum between researchers from industry and academia to discuss the state-of-the-art in mechatronics, and present recent research results and prospects for development in this evolving area. Relevant topics for the conference include, but are not limited to the following areas related to mechatronics.

Noise Protection on Signal Applications on Vehicles

Noise is a problem on signal conditioning on vehicles. There are the solutions to protect the vehicle signals from noise when you have an application on vehicle. For example, when Ahmet APAK have worked on control and electronic application of producing of the first electric minibus in Turkey with Hasan Heceoglu who is also project engineer in Mechatronic Research Center in ITU in Turkey, they have had a problem which is the forward and bacward button that enables vehicle to going forward and backward. The button of signal conditioning has the noises from the environment. The signal process is between the button and vehicle controller microautobox. The signal types are digital inputs. These digital inputs have two ends which are coming from the button and going to controller digital input mounts. If these signal wires ends which are near to autobox controller are connected with ground with the resistance (for example, in our application the resistance value is 1 Mohm), the noise problem on signal wires are abated. This is an experimental experience which is shared with the people that is important.

Electric Vehicle Developments in Turkey in 2011

The electric vehicle have been searched in Tubitak, in Otam in Istanbul Technical University, in Mechatronic Research Center in Istanbul Technical University which produces the first electric minibus in Turkey that is also including Ahmet APAK, in Renault in Turkey, in Fiat in Turkey. The automotive industry which are Renault, Fiat, Ford and the others thinks the electric vehicles are commonly used in the near future but there are the political and strategical problems. Renault is producing the electric cars in Bursa in Turkey because they think they should have big market share but they have the R&D facilities in France. Fiat likes the reserach and development about electric vehicle but they can not produce as serial production in 2011 because their research and development source and money are not shared for it. Ford produces or develops the electric cars in the other countries. Mercedes and BMW wants diesel cars to be used in the near future, and also they have developed the hybrid cars because they use their multitude of source for the hybrid, diesel and speed technology.

Waiter Robots in China

The waiter robots can services in Dalu Robot Restaurant in Jinan which is west of Sandong in China. The robots are like the Star Wars and they are used as waitress, reception clerk. The scope sensors are used robots to work and they can also speak and make a dance. The restaurant owner is Zang Yongpey.

Istanbul Technical University Mechatronic Research Center, Sabancı University and some other universities have also worked about Humanoid Robots in Turkey. This is to say, in the near future, The Turkish Robots will be ready to the Restaurants.

The First Electric Minibus In Turkey

Ahmet APAK’s  master thesis is the control design of electric minibus. He is not only control designer but also coordinator of this project group. The electric minibus is one of the industrial and academic milestones in Turkey. The electric minibus provides the needs for clean environment and alternative energy requirements in public transportation, and can travel minimum 120 km at full load with 50kW batteries and has the maximum speed of 150 km/h. It can reach to 75 km/h in 11 seconds. The vehicle gross weight is 3000 kg including batteries and it can carry 20 people having the maximum weight of 4500 kg. The batteries can be charged in 3-4 hours in slow charge mode and have the service life of 3000 charge-decharge cycle. It has a water cooled electric motor and there is no gear box on the minibus. The vehicle control is achieved by the on-board vehicle computer. The project is constructed in Mechatronic Research Center in Istanbul Technical University. The advisor of him is Prof. Dr. Ata MUGAN who is from mechanical engineering department.

The electric minibus and Ahmet APAK’s news are below:
